New Alumni Chapter Installed

Eta Mu Chapter was installed in Atlanta, Georgia on July 18, 2004 as the thirty-seventh alumni chapter of Delta Omicron. The installation ceremony occurred at the Flipper Temple A.M.E. Church in Atlanta and was followed by an installation musicale, and reception. International President Jonny Ramsey conducted the installation ceremony and was assisted by Iota Province President Laura Thuirer.

The new Eta Mu members presented a musicale of vocal solo and ensemble selections including two original Delta Omicron songs. Following the reception, officer training was held for the new chapter. Members of Eta Mu are Dondra Edwards, Calanda Gantt, Henrietta Garner, Keisha Harley, Ebony Marshall, Lawanda Murphy, Valerie Paige, Patrice Reid, Janel Riley, and Valencia Walker-Googer.

Eta Mu grew out of the Atlanta Alumni Club. In November of 2002, the Club members presented the musicale “Strength, Courage, and Wisdom” created by Delta Omicron member Lawanda Murphy.
