Delta Omicron Citation Presented to Libby Larsen

Libby Larsen, outstanding American composer received a special Citation from Delta Omicron Thursday, November 13th at Carson-Newman College, Jefferson City, TN. Libby Larsen won the 1977 Delta Omicron Triennial Composition Competition. The Premiere of this performance took place at the 1977 Conference at Carson-Newman College.

Ann Jones, immediate Past President of Delta Omicron presented the Citation which read: "in recognition of outstanding contribution to music as a composer of the 20th and 21st century inspiring performers and listeners everywhere with your talented gift of composition. Delta Omicron recognizes that you are one of our greatest composer's of the day. Through your compositions that are deeply inspired, rich in American spirit, musically clear in its statement of texture, rhythm and melodic contour in all mediums - you inspire us as performer and listener to continue championing the cause of music in every aspect of our daily life."
