INTERNATIONAL PRESIDENT
Jonny H. Ramsey,

(Denton, TX) has a Bachelor of Music Degree from Carson-Newman College and Master of Arts and Ph.D. Degrees in Music Education from the University of Iowa. She also has completed post-doctoral course work at The University of San Antonio, San Antonio College, and Penn State University. She holds Texas All-Level Music Certification for grades kindergarten through twelve and Orff Schulwerk Certification--Levels I and II. She has 30 years of teaching experience in elementary music in Virginia and Texas. Between 1979 and 1983, she served as Co-Coordinator for the Arts in Education Program of Pennsylvania's Intermediate Unit 10. She was Part-Time Adjunct Instructor for Elementary Music Education at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas from 1989 to 1996.
Dr. Ramsey was initiated into Alpha Gamma chapter at Carson-Newman College in 1967 and served as Chapter President during 1969-70. She has been an alumni-at-large life member since the early 1970s. She served as Province President for NU Province from 1996 to 2000 and as Alumni Area Chair for Southeastern and Western Texas. Dr. Ramsey's most recent past responsibility was National Music Adviser 2000-2003.
Dr. Ramsey is a flutist. She currently teaches elementary music to 600 students in grades K through 5 at Ginnings Elementary School in Denton, Texas and plays in her church hand bell ensemble. She is married to Dr. Darhyl S. Ramsey, Professor of Music Education at the University of North Texas.

(Romeo, MI) was initiated into Delta Iota Chapter at Central Michigan University in 1964. She served as Beta Province President and is an active member of Zeta Alpha. Nancy is employed by Fitzgerald Public Schools in Warren, Michigan and currently teaches K-5 general music. Nancy also taught first grade and has been a school librarian. She is a member of the National Guild for Piano Teachers and the Michigan Federation of Music Clubs.

(New Baltimore, MI) has been an active member of Delta Omicron for 39 years. She was initiated into Delta Theta Chapter at Wayne State University in 1967. Shortly after graduation, she joined Zeta Alpha Chapter and has held numerous offices within the chapter.
Mary worked with the Disability Determination Program in Michigan and retired after 25 years of service. She is active in her church, heading the funeral luncheon ministry, volunteering in the food pantry, singing in the choir, and serving as a wedding coordinator and on the parish council. Mary was recognized in 2005 for the “Keep the Dream Alive Award” by the Archdiocese of Detroit.

(Mt. Pleasant, MI) was inducted into the Delta Iota Chapter of Delta Omicron in 1995. He has served Delta Iota as Chapter Father, Faculty Sponsor and Chapter Adviser. He has taught trombone, brass, and jazz related courses at Central Michigan University since 1992. He previously was Director of Bands and Low Brass at Eastern New Mexico university from 1987-92 and was a public school band director in Pennsylvania from 1980-85.
Dr. Lindahl earned his Bachelor of Science in Music Education Degree from Clarion University of Pennsylvania in 1980, Master of Music in Trombone Performance from Youngstown State University in 1984 and Doctor of Music Arts in Trombone Performance from Arizona State University in 1988. He was named Volunteer of the Year by the Art Reach of Mid-Michigan and an excellence in Teaching Award by Central Michigan University in 1999. He was recognized as Faculty Adviser of the Year by the Professional Fraternity Association in 2001 and has received the Chapter Adviser of the Year Award from Delta Omicron numerous times. Lindahl performs with many ensembles at central Michigan university, free lances in Michigan, and appear nationally as a brass clinician.

(Huntingtown, MD) was initiated into Alpha Theta Chapter at Frostburg State University in 1977. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education in 1980. She received her Master of Music Degree in Music Education from West Virginia University in 1982. Janet served as Lambda Province President from 1995 to 2005.
Janet currently teaches elementary instrumental music at two elementary schools in Calvert County, Maryland. She has been teaching for 23 years. She is the Membership Chair for Maryland Music Educators Association and is also a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. Janet performs in the Southern Maryland area with the Calvert Chamber Players and Kindred Spirits. She is also a choir member at Trinity United Methodist Church in Prince Frederick, Maryland. (Prospect Heights, IL) graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music in 1988. Initiated into Sigma Chapter, she served the chapter as Treasurer and President. She was awarded the Senior Honor Pin and Star of DO. After working for Karnes Music Company after graduation, Jennifer went back to graduate school. She received a Master of Business Administration Degree in 1994 from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana.
She served as Delta Province President from 1991-1996 before being elected WHEEL Editor of Delta Omicron in 1996. She was appointed Treasurer of Delta Omicron in 1999. Jennifer is also the Alumni Area Chair of Illinois.
She is currently the Accounting Specialist for First Assist, Inc. in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. She is responsible for the payroll and credentialing of two hundred temporary employees. Jennifer is a member of the Mt. Prospect Community Band, playing flute and piccolo.

(Jefferson City, TN) graduated from Carson-Newman College in 1993 with a Bachelors Degree in Music Education, keyboard emphasis. As a collegiate member of Alpha Gamma, Mrs. Wright served the chapter as Director of Publicity and Music Adviser. She also was awarded the star of DO for two consecutive years, as well as the Senior Honor Pin.
Following graduate studies of the University of Louisville and the Southern Baptist Seminary in Louisville, KY and serving as Zeta North Province, Mrs. Wright returned to Carson-Newman as the Director of the Preparatory School of Music in 1997.
Since 1993, Mrs. Wright has taught private piano lessons and currently operates a studio in Jefferson City, TN. She is a member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) and was the Smokey Mountain Music Teachers Association (SMMTA) Teacher of the Year for 2001. She gained MTNA certification in piano pedagogy in December 2001. In addition to her role as piano instructor, Mrs. Wright serves as Music Director of Nance's Grove Baptist Church in New Market, TN. She has been the Executive Secretary of Delta Omicron since 1997.
