The Mission of Delta Omicron International Music Fraternity is to promote and support excellence in music and musicianship.
The Delta Omicron National Board is continuing to monitor the news about the Coronavirus (COVID-19). We understand that many schools across the country are in a hybrid model, closed, open, or some combination for an indefinite period of time. We know that this is challenging for collegiate and alumni chapters. We want all of our members to be safe and healthy. We know that being away from your chapter is not ideal. If your school is operating in a hybrid format, please contact the executive office with that information: doexecsec@gmail.com. Please follow guidelines from your school and public health agencies.

New Campus chapters are established only in accredited schools. A petition, signed by the Chair of the Music Department, may be presented to the Board of Directors by interested students wishing to form a chapter of Delta Omicron on their campus.
Our fraternity has changed drastically since its founding in 1909. Today's society puts demands on individuals unlike any other time in the past, whether you are a performer, educator or music supporter, we STILL need you in Delta Omicron. The board is challenging our membership to stay involved, get back involved and help grow our fraternity. There is so much we can do when we all work together. "Continually Striving, We Attain."
The deadline for applications for the Delta Omicron Summer Scholarships is today! Applications must be submitted by end of day!
The Fraternity offers ten summer scholarships of up to $500 for summer study and/or training each year. Collegiate and Alumni members in good standing may apply upon acceptance into a qualifying program. Some scholarships have limitations or restrictions.

Epsilon Iota chapter has awarded the Star of Delta Omicron to Berenice Soto. They said in their submission:
"As chapter president, Berenice has played an integral role in the success of Epsilon Iota. Her leadership and engagement have brought each of the members of our chapter closer together. Berenice is the driving force of Epsilon Iota's success, and she always brings a positive energy to our meetings. Her initiative in planning chapter events and casual but confident style of leadership are just two reasons why she is without a doubt the Star of DO this school year."
At the end of each semester, chapters are given the opportunity to award the Star of Delta Omicron. This is awarded to a member in recognition of outstanding service to the Fraternity, school, or community.

Individuals within a chapter may also receive the Star of DO - to those individuals who have gone above and beyond with their contributions to their chapter - and Senior Honor Pin - to the graduating senior with the highest GPA.

"Ashton Hoelscher goes above and beyond for the Omicron Omicron chapter exhibiting great character and leadership as president of the chapter. Ashton strives to ensure that the chapter runs smoothly both in and out of meetings helping out in any way he can. He puts in hours of work each week preparing and running meetings, helping other offices, and much more all while juggling two majors and three minors. Our chapter does not believe anyone else could be as deserving to receive the Star of D.O. Award which is why the Omicron Omicron chapter wishes to present the Star of D.O. Award to Ashton Hoelscher."
