New chapters of Delta Omicron may be established only with the approval of the National Board of Directors. The establishment of collegiate and alumni chapters and alumni clubs is supervised by the International President.
Alumni chapters may be formed by Delta Omicron alumni members in good-standing. Formal application for forming an alumni chapter requires the submission of a petition signed by at least 10 alumni to the International President. Once established, alumni chapters must meet at least 5 times a year, have musical activities at meetings, pay national investments annually in addition to dues, and submit reports similar to those of a collegiate chapter. An alumni chapter has full voting rights in the fraternity.
Alumni clubs may be formed by alumni in good-standing. Alumni clubs do not have a required number of members and may determine the number of meetings to be held annually. A minimal club fee and minimal reports are required for club status. But an alumni club does not have voting rights within the fraternity. When membership reaches 10 or more, the club may petition to become an alumni chapter.
To establish an alumni chapter or club, interested alumni should contact the International President for further information.
