Julie Hensley will slowly arrange the storage areas, office, and meeting spaces as time allows between her regular duties and preparation for Conference 2006. The space offers a much better moisture-free environment for our archives. Historian Ann Jones is currently researching the archives as part of the writing of the Centennial History. She has purchased vinyl boxes and archival storage materials to protect the history of Delta Omicron as that process proceeds. Delta Kappa Chapter at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, was reactivated on May 1, 2005. Twelve undergraduate members were initiated as part of the reactivation. Susan Tams served as the Board of Director’s representative to conduct the reactivation. She was assisted by Delta Omicron alumni Dr. Vickie Stroeher, Patricia Green, Beverly Miller, and Harriet Tucker of Huntington, and Lee Ann Lykens of Beckley, WV. Dr. Stroeher, a faculty member at Marshall is serving as the Chapter Adviser. Following the initiation ceremony, the new members performed a musicale featuring a flute duet and solo, saxophone trio, and a trumpet duet. |
