INTERNATIONAL PRESIDENT

Kimberly Martin-Boyd (Normal, Illinois) has been serving Delta Omicron as the International President since July of 2015. Prior to becoming International President she was National First Vice President from 2012-2015, the Delta Province President from 2003-2012, Alpha Central Province President from 2000-2003, and formerly the Epsilon Beta (Eureka College) Chapter Advisor. She has attended all conferences since 2000 and served as Conference Co-Chair at both the 2006 and 2012 Triennial Conference and at the 2009 Centennial Conference of Delta Omicron. 

Kimberly holds three degrees from Illinois State University: a bachelor’s degree in Music Education with an instrumental emphasis, a Masters in Music Education with a Jazz/String Pedagogy emphasis, and a second Masters degree in Educational Administration. At Illinois State she was an active member of Omicron Omega Chapter, serving as fundraising chair, treasurer and president.  At Illinois State she was an active member of Omicron Omega Chapter, serving as fundraising chair, treasurer and president. She is currently a member of Zeta Eta Alumni Chapter in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois.

Kimberly has taught orchestra in several schools in central Illinois and is currently employed with Unit 5 Schools in Normal. Her orchestras at Normal Community West High School at quickly gaining national recognition with performances at Carnegie Hall and next summer Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. She maintains a private string studio, consisting primarily of cellists. She has recently taken on the position of Director of Instrumental Music at Wesley United Methodist Church in Bloomington, Illinois. 

Kimberly is the proud wife of Chad Boyd. They welcomed their first child, son Killian Michael Boyd in December 2004, and a second boy, Cohen Wyler Boyd, joined the family in June of 2008. Both boys share their mother’s love of music and currently play viola and violin respectively.  Besides time with her family, Kimberly enjoys scrapbooking and performing with her string quartet, The Topaz String Quartet.
